Things to remember on bad days…

Things to remember on bad days…It’s ok to not feel ok.

There are days everything is good. The coffee is warm. The sun shines brightly, and I can get things done. But Some days don’t deserve 24 hours. It’s ok if all you did today was to survive
Not everything will be easy but not everything will be hard

Amelia woke up to the sound of rain tapping against her window. The gray clouds mirrored the heaviness in her heart. Bad days were not unfamiliar to her; they visited like uninvited guests, lingering in the corners of her mind.

As she reluctantly got out of bed, she noticed the list she had taped to her mirror. “Things to remember on bad days. It’s ok to not feel ok.” The words stared back at her, a reminder she had written to herself during brighter days.

Her morning routine felt like an uphill climb, each step heavier than the last. The world outside her window seemed to move at a different pace, unaffected by the storm within her. Amelia, however, knew the importance of acknowledging the tempest in her soul.

At work, she forced a smile and went through the motions, but her colleagues sensed the quiet struggle behind her eyes. The weight of expectations, both internal and external, felt crushing. Yet, Amelia took solace in the knowledge that it was alright not to have it all together, not every day.

During lunch, she found herself in a quiet corner of the park. The rain had subsided to a gentle drizzle, matching the tears that rolled down her cheeks. Unfolding a small notebook, she started jotting down moments of gratitude—tiny anchors that held her in the storm.

As the day wore on, Amelia’s list grew. A kind word from a friend, a warm cup of tea, the soothing melody of her favorite song—each entry became a testament to the small joys that persisted even on the darkest days.

When evening came, Amelia returned home, the exhaustion evident in her every step. She glanced at the list on her mirror once more, taking a deep breath. It was a simple acknowledgment: It’s ok to not feel ok. Tomorrow was a new day, a chance for the storm to pass.

In the quiet of her room, with raindrops still tapping on her window, Amelia embraced the truth that had become her mantra. She curled up with a book, allowing herself the grace to ride out the bad day, knowing that even in the darkness, there were things to remember. It was ok not to feel ok. And that acknowledgment, she realized, was the first step toward healing.

Don’t trust everything your mind tells you. Most bad days are Just bad moments

You may not have control over what happens every day. But you can decide which mindset you bring to a new day. Don’t be discouraged by what happened to you today. Be thankful that you have today to live and tomorrow to try again.
